If you already can ride most blue technical trails and want to build your skills to tackle the more technical blacks of Sovereign this is the course for you.
You'll learn:
- Improved balance and stability by using different body positions.
- Using your controls more effectively (braking and shifting gears).
- Increased terrain awareness by scanning the trail.
- Choosing better and more efficient lines.
- Downhill cornering techniques to maintain speed and increase traction.
- How to ride black style trail features, like roll downs or rock gardens.
- How to be more active with your bike and body to maintain flow in rougher terrain.
In addition to learning riding skills, we'll also touch on optimizing bike set up, suspension basics and how to perform your best on race day.
We will be riding on the trails:
Rock is the New Berm, Dagamal, Soup2Nuts and Threads.
If these are too far beyond your present skill set, this may not be an ideal course for you. These are blue and black trails, but contain some challenging optional features. If you are from out of town or unfamiliar with the style of these trails, contact us to see if this course is a good fit.
